Humans alone devastated!!

Everybody is planning to make or create ways to stop the world from carrying out its normal routine, by pollution, deforestation.. thats the entire planet in concern.. but what if you need to affect humans alone,you don`t need to disrupt the society by creating devastation, terrorism and scandals... All you need to do is CUT the electric power.. imagine.. if power goes off unexpectedly by a huge Solar thermal wave hitting power lines and satellites... your cellphone won`t work after discharge(there wouldn`t be communication as there is no satellites or cellphone towers having power to function), no laptop, no ATM, to hell, there can`t be even anything running if there is indefinite electricity failure!! now think about it...
