I have been using this Phone since my last birthday...
I did felt that it was cool when i used the touch interface. Back then iphone was no near Indian launch.
Mine had a windows professional 6 earlier. It lagged behind in too many features like the MSword had limited run and usage etc..
why am i telling this? sorry let me get to the point..
I read in books and magazine about the latest(8 months old) windows 6.1 mobile and HTC`s new touchflo 2D interface.... well it nearly has the iPhone feature of Pan,Scan and zoom.
I took a great deal of time in finding ways to flash my phone with the new OS..
Guess what? Its not that too simple... I have to unlock the phone BIOS... change the bootloader version... hack the spl or otherwise (the internal ROM for those who don`t know what it is?) and find the exact Rom update for my Model no. and Device ID.. that took me about 3 days to find and learn on the Internet in a superb site called Xda-developers.com.
but I did make my phone choked to death or cooked its ROMs,quite a number of times,but its all worth it to watch the latest fun on the run..
People who own any HTC model should consider doing it. It is the best you can get from the HTC.. or buy a new one with the ones I have told you here.
