Damnation... Its OKay to play....
The game is really good in some sense and very poorly made in the sense of its very bizarre AI, where you need some time for them to react rather than the player(which is you to react..)
the game is quite simple in design. powered by the unreal 3 engine it has got all the required modes of play. It is simply a 3rd person action adventure, where you need to explore the given location to find a way up, or out so that you are either chased around or chased by someone behind you(they don`t always stick around your back..)
the story is about gaining the fortification of prescott, a ruthless leader of the Damnation era... the game has a feel of wild west and all the red indians running around with a mindless drug used to make them super soldiers. the hero is Hamilton Rourke, an outlaw as i told you in the civil war times who has the mission to take out the P.S.I from its strong hold in the US at these dangerous times. what makes the game itself boring is that the shooting and action is like playing ducks on a NES system... the enemies don`t always dodge and fight, they take the fire to them(literally speaking..)
Another interesting thing about the game is its serene locations and fast-paced bikes... i am a huge fan of Star-wars POD racing and when i first drove the bikes in this game i was taken aback, you can ride the bike almost in 360 degree in vertical as long as there is a surface to hang on to.
the weapons are innovative but the sounds are all the same... it looks like a lot of the games nowadays borrow their weapons from Doom universe...
the puzzles are not that tough to solve, they are quite like pulling levers and aligning clock works... but the major puzzle in the game is the navigation itself.. sometimes you are helped with a short video or a panned camera to tell you where to go.... and in other cases you are always on your own... the only way of assuring that you are on the right track is by the games auto save option which would give you a "PHEW... that was close" in your mind...
the game`s downside is its character build, it is some times intriguing to ask yourself is this possible, i meant the AI as well as their voice responses(robotic... Ahem!!),anyway the motion of the game is like stick figures and are mostly made to look like a game developed by puppets... wolverine was also developed from unreal 3 engine but still the characters do look like humans...
the worst thing about the game is its poor refresh rate and i constantly got pain in my eyes seeing the cut-scenes in frame rates like less than 30 FPS.... and whenever i pan the camera to see a new location the screen would look look like it has gone half.... loading one half in its GPU processor and making a refresh frame then... it is so annoying when i get to reload some time after getting hit by a rocket or a gun.
I should say i completed the game in 11 days roughly about 3 to 5 hours a day... and to be honest the most time of it was spent on exploring rather than shooting down enemies.... and the game has also got co-operative mode where you can play with your friends online or through LAN....

ProtoType - The one and All powerful...
What happens when you mix two dozen Super hero characters in to one and make a game out of it.... well you get Alex Mercer, the hero( or better yet the mutated viruses prior host) who has the varying powers of Spider-man, Symbiotic Venom, as well as small time villains and some crazy artistic development ideas for some special powers from the most characters of the X-Men series...
The story takes place in the city of Manhattan, where a lethal biological virus or a weapon is released by Alex and the virus takes the nearest host, that is Alex again due to fact that he is dead because he was killed for his wrong-doing... being dead and born again due to the viruses development in to the body makes him a killing machine but still he loses memory of his past and the story captivates in the narrative style and the pace is carried by lesser character involvement to knowing what has happened to him and what he is to do next(with some twists here and there)...
The game is superb in the sense of varying powers and the damage one can does to the environment with it. You start up with very limited powers in the beginning of the game and starts to earn them one after the other through a unique system called earn and pay by your EP(Experience Points),which you will get by doing missions in the way you are asked to and in doing some side mission, where you will be awarded medals for the achievements you get.
The game is developed by Activision, the company which owns the rights for most of the comic book heroes from Marvel as well as Microsoft... so what they did make out of the game with Alex is equally good in game play and the controls for which is also quite easy in the Xbox 360 controller... (for those of you with no XBOX 360 controller... never mind use the emulators that make your normal analog to be believed as Xbox one by the game) and do you know another thing, Prototype is now being made in to Comic series from seeing the success of the game... boy they sure know how to develop stories from nothing but a single line...
well regarding the game controls you have to memorize lots of movement keys, if you play by the keyboard... but don`t worry one can always develop favourite moves to kill almost every enemy...
The games open environment is a feel good factor there is always some small missions to play in every block of the city and some cool ways to know the past by consuming peoples memories and people too....(EEw that`s gross, anyway the web of intrigue to know about the story plots and movements is cool in some sense, the cut-scene are damn good in it) you will have to change yourself or morph in to someone else for
1.Knowing their intention and about Alex`s association with them.
2.To give yourself out for the identity of some commanders in a base so that you can infiltrate the security.
3.Command someone in disguise of a soldier to take down the enemy artillery or even people( that's so cool, you need to experience it)
4.learning some Techniques such as riding tanks and Helicopter...
All this can be done in a flick of keys in the controller. but in a battle with large amount of hunters( the Villainous creatures in the game) where accessing the wheel of powers is quite tough and every time you morph from Alex to someone else you need to select the powers once again.. the cool thing about it is that you can select and use more than one in combination( my favorite is the Hammer hand and whip slash)
The navigation and the selection of enemies is also quite easy... you can climb almost any building race to its top take down helicopters or even hijack them or if you feel like an adventurer to explore it all in foot then you can always glide to the Bottom of the city from the tallest sky scrapers in a way in which you would only dream of like falling from the sky...
weapon system is also unique you can pick up and throw almost anything in the game cars, broken lamps, tanks, even people, and also the weapons of some of the soldiers hit by you or they dropped it by your force of action.
The game has a feel of longing for more. most of the missions are short like asking you to escort tanks take down some enemy fields and some infectious villains. The longest mission was the one involving the Super villain named Elizabeth Green, where you have to kill three tentacles of Infection and then kill and consume Elizabeth Green.( It took me nearly 25 to 30 minutes and that to my health was reducing in an alarming rate )
The game`s graphics is good as its just 5 GB consumption of the hard disk is very reasonable too... the main drawback is that the crowd in the game is so repetitive in every corner the crowd looks just the same...The best is the way Alex moves its totally fluid you can scale scrapers in seconds jump and make a rummaging attack and still you have quick recovery of your health.. The AI is much intelligent, the soldiers always have a keen interest to your moves any unusual movement noticed on you will be enough to trigger the alarm and start a air strike on you which is usually 2 to 3 helicopters in the sky and 2 tanks on the ground... you chose between either evading the pursuit by running in to a hide spot and transform and disguise yourself or otherwise kill them all( i always prefer the hard way, what use is a game with no power of thrill in kill, YEAH!!)
Altogether, the game is promising to have 15 to 20 hours straight on main missions and some side missions but there is a lot to do even then there are missions involving test of your ability to fly high, sprint in building tops, and take down helicopters and tentacles of infection by given powers such as Rocket launcher or tanks...
one thing that i hate to tell you is that most games i have played in the past seems to be wound around the same theme... You are in a bad situation and you are in search of an unsolved answer and by the end you get to know that
YOUR BEST FRIEND IS YOUR WORST ENEMY....
I hope to see that games in the future jump out of this very old story telling system and come out with something very interesting to listen to and play.....

GTA 4 - Realism and Coolness....
The one thing that you most probably enjoyable in this game is its cool feeling of co-operative game play... with some bad guys... and some hotties (with guns,of course!!!)
The next best thing is that the game gives you the power to either take ones life or save one... depending on which the story changes and that gives you the opportunity to play the game again... its non--repeatable mission and feel of continuous notorious action and character build makes it damn cool as well(not to mention the offensive language of the people... from start to the end.. man... they got some rude ways to spell all kinds of shit...)
The worst thing of all is the way the crowd reacts to you. If you point a gun at them they scream, panic, run(well some of them not all) some beat the shit out of you for good...
The Story is about Niko Belic who comes in to Liberty City,to see his hands in making fortune by working for some local lords as well as screwing some of their opponents and mobs...
There are also some side missions where the story gets its pace and sometimes the crowd makes it so annoying to work(that's when i would say you bump someone with your stolen car or on to someone near when the police is watching or when they are really close encounter with you performing an assault mission)
I get to play this game after reading so many review and all the top game sites like gamespot.com and gametrailers.com gave it a 9 out of 10 which is pretty good..
It has also got some pretty good visual effects and the downside is i get to play it only on low graphics as it kept requiring and consuming lot of RAM and graphic processing. I suggest that this is only the beginning... games to come in future would require graphic cards much powerful than the processor itself and costing more than them as well.
you can blow up things... experience any environment at its cool and varying climate and the AI is so good that i heard people talk and dress up to the mood in the crowd.. (for a game consuming 18 GB of hard disk space surely that's worth noting)
and more than you get to live the life of a man named Niko, you can...
1.Interact with people with Phone,web.
2.Go places like Purchasing clothes,Guns,Ammo.
3.Date with girls, dine with them, play with them, and with luck sleep with them and make love.(Ah,Ah,Ah I know what you are thinking and its not possible yet..., the HOt Coffee Mod In GTA 4 will take time as i suppose... to release... i am hoping that some good guy out there is working really hard in making it in to mini-mission... He he he!!)
The awesome thing about this game is that there is always an element of surprise and as well as story telling as you cross every mission from day 1 to the end... The story telling changes as in tone with the actions you perform and the gangsters you execute or save... likewise the cutscence also changes according to your cloth, style and weapon selection...
I get to be commented very often by the crowd as well as the mission givers.. the one that blew my mind is when on a dating mission with a girl friend i get to hear her say "are you still wearing the same dress from the time we met before?". seriously after finishing about a dozen missions later.. i forgot to change the clothes and still wore the same... the AI was so good in giving a response to it as well... seriously... how many games in the market can do that... Hats off.. Rockstar Games....

Assassin`s Creed 2.... what it might be.....
Well to begin with everyone, who has followed trailers and the game play interview in the E3 2009 would have noted that its going to take place in Italy in renaissance period where one plays as Etsio, an assassin more elusive than Altair, his Ancestor and not to mention that it is said that he would not be carrying around large blades and daggers but as the trademark known its suppose that Etsio would have not one but two hidden blades and a hidden firearm,(its very old or too early to say as Pistol or gun as it was coined and invented only in 18Th century, whereas the game happens around 15Th century )
One more notable thing as mentioned is that it is very clear from the words of the Game developers that its going to be more interactive and fluid in action. The first installment had the opportunity to use only ground battle whereas here you get to fly in some of the flying machines invented by Leonardo Da vinci( he is going to be your most trusted friend through out the game... as the folks in Ubisoft say)and not to mention other inventions like catapult..(ya ya... i googled a lot to know about Da vinci thats how i came to know all this inventions)
And the most important thing is the game is never going to be repetitive as underlined by lead developer interview it going to be a gamer driven just like GTA, where one mission would have a drastic effect on the other by the method you use to accomplish it. that means to say that its going to be a tougher game to play and not like killing around people like the earlier one... (its also undeniable to say that men after men would fall like a heap in the first part lets hope in the second we have lesser use of the hidden blade and be more secretive )
Another thing worth noting is that through out the game you can buy and upgrade your inventory and use others to help you rather than you helping for them as earlier version had it.
As for the Future... i mean the Desmonds in 21st century, has to do more than just to walk around. lets hope like he gets to play some missions as well....
I am thinking maybe the story begins with the Lucy and Desmonds escape from the Templar's hold(in modern days) and building their own Animus Machine to see in to Desmonds mind... maybe a underground secret hideout where Lucy would have set up the machine by stealing the Blue prints from the Company with little help from the modern day Assassins( well she herself is an Assassin... not to forget that)
Lets hope for the Best....
